Writing Fiction:
(Tuesdays, July 5-July 27) 4 weeks (Teen & Adult). Love to write, but feel intimidated to write a full-length novel? Feel the impulse, but never finish writing a story? Here's help to become your own editor and explore ways to finish projects. Topics include writing beginnings, middles, and ends, character construction and plotting. Bring a composition book and pen or pencil.
Location: Corbin Art Center in Spokane

Writing A Successful Fiction Novel:
Have an idea for a story, but aren't sure where to start? Maybe you have written something, but haven't put it all together. This class will help inspire and organize and help you on the way to publishing a marketable fiction novel. Writing samples provided or bring your current work-in-progress.
 
Character and Plot Development:
Strong fiction is driven by dynamic characters and enticing plots. Sharpen your skills in these key aspects of fiction writing with activities and discussions geared toward writing fiction that will sell. Bring your current work in progress (or writing samples will be provided) and something to write with.
 
Marketing Fiction:
Cracking the fiction market can be a challenge. Agents, E-publishing, print publishing, print on-demand, and short fiction will be addressed in this workshop. We'll also examine current popular fiction and craft query letters. Bring your favorite popular fiction book, your current work in progress (or writing samples will be provided).
